Angus,
President

Our formidable president is Angus, and he will ensure everything operates smoothly. His responsibilities involve liaising with the Sports Union, supporting the rest of the committee, and providing excellent leadership for the club as a whole.

Milly,
Secretary

Milly is our phenomenal Secretary. She is in charge of the club’s admin and does all the important work behind the scenes such as looking after memberships, taking notes in committee meetings, answering emails, and supporting the President. Milly is very happy to answer any questions about trips, membership and more on hillwalking@ed.ac.uk.

Seamus,
Treasurer

Seamus is our incredible Treasurer responsible for the club’s budget and finances. He will keep trip expenses on track and keep the club’s accounts in order.

Willow,
Meet Secretary

Willow is our outstanding Meet Sec. She has already booked the hostel accommodation and transport for our trips for the upcoming year. She is responsible for suggesting and finalising trip destinations and liaising with drivers and Meet Organisers. Benji,
Training & Safety Officer

Benji is our knowledgeable Training, Safety and Development Officer for this year. His job is to liaise with outdoor instructors and book navigation and winter skills training. He will use his experience in the hills to gauge what training is required for members.

Finlay,
Gear Secretary

Finlay, our beloved Gear Secretary, diligently looks after the gear room and club gear: ice axes, crampons, group shelters, maps, and more. He manages the process of members borrowing gear for trips and can provide gear advice.

Dylan,
Sustainability Officer

Dylan is our marvellous Sustainability Officer working to improve the sustainability of the club. His tasks include tracking the club’s carbon footprint and working with our Social Secretaries to organise events like charity fundraisers and conservation volunteer days.

Audrey,
Alumni Officer

Audrey is our fantastic Alumni Officer. She will connect past club members with present ones by organising our annual Alumni Trip and running the club blog.

Eilidh,
Welfare Officer

Eilidh is our extraordinary Wellbeing and Inclusion Officer. She is responsible for promoting good mental health within the club and running mental health workshops and activities. She is the first point of contact for any members with questions about or problems with well-being, inclusion, or mental health. You can contact her by email at s2567096@ed.ac.uk

Reuben,
Publicity Officer

Reuben is our Publicity and Yearbook Officer for this year. He is in charge of the club’s Instagram and Facebook accounts, and will create the club yearbook at the end of the year. Please tag the club @euhwc in any posts or stories from trips for a repost on the club Insta 🙂

McKenna,
Social Secretary

McKenna is one of our brilliant Socials Secs alongside Josh. They will work together to organise fantastic events such as pub crawls, Meadows picnics, Portobello bonfires, our Christmas Dinner, ceilidhs, and our Hillwalking Scavenger Hunt.

Webmaster
